Nature Republic in Seoul, South Korea

Located in Myeongdong, one of the busiest and most popular shopping destinations in Seoul, South Korea, this green facade covers Nature Republic, an organic cosmetics company. The project was made using the innovative cork board vertical garden wall system from Cortica Garden. The landmark attraction features over 50,000 plants that cover the four-story building and plants live throughout snowy winters and hot, humid summers inside the all-natural cork system. Many countries, including Korea, understand the importance of greenery in people’s lives, which is why governments and corporations are investing heavily to build greenery in urban spaces.

Designed by architect Lawrence Ler of RSP Architects Planners & Engineers, this 82-foot wall is considered the world’s largest vertical garden installation. Residing in College Central at the Institute of Technical Education in Singapore, this massive vertical garden was designed to regulate heat in the country’s tropical climate.
